The Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown features the Anne of Green Gables musical that has been running for over 40 years, as popular as ever, and other stage productions. The Summerside Jubilee theatre complements its celebration of Anne with its musical love story, Anne and Gilbert.

The Island is best known for being a summer destination, but all seasons are beautiful and visitors enjoy coming here at other times as well. The Autumn season is extraordinarily colourful, as the maple trees turn and good weather can last up to at least November and sometimes into December. The air is fresh and there are beautiful trails for walking. Autumn, Winter and Spring is a great time to live like Islanders and enjoy their way of life.

The winters can be snowy and we have a few legendary Nor'easters, but you can be introduced to the concept of being "storm-stayed" which every Islander knows about. You determine what cozy place you want to wait out the storm and pamper yourself and a loved one with all your favourite comfort foods, old movies and great books. The Inns of Distinction are an ideal spot for these Winter escapes.

The Spring is best described as an emerging pallette of colours unfolding before your eyes. The greys and browns of early spring change to soft reds, light greens and yellows and you can smell the earth coming to life with crops and wildflowers.
