Description: |
Built in 1892, the Inn is a wonderful example of the queen Anne revival style and was designed by the renowned PEI architect William C. Harris. Harris enjoyed creating unusual effects with light and shade by cutting decorative shapes in the barge board of his homes -a prominent feature of the Silver Fox Inn. This beautiful old Victoria home was first converted into an Inn 20 years ago and has been a Bed and Breakfast Inn ever since. One of a small number of Inns qualified to be one of the "Inns of distinction" of, PEI, the Inn now has new owners and a new era is beginning with many additional features and improvements to make your stay a memorable and comfortable one.
Once inside, the open and freely planned interior is evident. The spacious living room features beautiful walnut woodwork, built in cabinets on either side of the fireplace, and several large bay windows. Relax in one of our oversized wingback chairs and enjoy complimentary coffee or tea and cookies, curl up and listen to music or enjoy a book from our library.
Upstairs on the second and third floors, each of the bedrooms has been named for a different colouration of Fox, each has its own private en-suite bathroom, and has either double or queen size beds. All rooms have crisp cotton sheets, down duvets, cotton blankets, plenty of thirsty cotton towels, a selection of toiletries, hairdryer, hotwater bottles, bath pillow, and many other extras. All rooms have colour cable tv and have an in-room guest telephone.
Evening meals are also available with prior notice.
Whether your visit is for business or pleasure be sure to let us know how we can help make your Island experience a truly warm and memorable one.
